One dies of black fungus in Dhangadhi

DHANGADHI: JUNE 3 – A person has died at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi on Thursday due to infection with black fungus.

A 65-year-old man of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-6 of Kailali, who has been undergoing treatment in the ICU of the hospital since May 31, died at 7 am in the morning, said Dilip Shrestha, information officer of the hospital.

He said that he was being treated on the basis of symptoms of black fungus and that laboratory tests had confirmed the infection of black fungus.

Corona was reported to be negative in his PCR test. Information Officer Shrestha said that no sign of Corona was seen in the person before.
