Three thousand 207 people died in 24 hours from Covid-19 in India

NEW DELHI: JUNE 2 – In India, an additional 3,207 people have died in the past 24 hours from the Corona Virus epidemic (Covid-19). Including this, a total of 335,102 people have died out of Covid-19 infected in India.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 132,788 new infections have been added in the last 24 hours. Including this, the total number of infected people in India has crossed 28.3 million as of Wednesday.

But out of the infected, 261.79 million have been cured. Another 1.79 million people are still actively infected. But that number has dropped by a million in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the number of infected people in India has come down sharply in the last few days.

A nationwide vaccination campaign was launched in India on January 16. So far, about 218 million doses have been vaccinated across the country. But there is a shortage of vaccines in many parts of India and large numbers of people have flocked to the vaccination centers, according to Indian media.

India currently has a policy of vaccinating people over the age of 18. According to the ministry, 2.397 million doses were vaccinated in India on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, India has further facilitated and expanded the testing facility of Covid-19. So far, 350 million samples have been tested in India. -XINHUA
