24 arrested for attacking doctor in India

NEW DELHI: JUNE 2 – Police have arrested 24 people for attacking a doctor in India. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Bishwas Sharma said on Wednesday that 24 attackers had been arrested. A Corona Virus patient died during treatment at the Udali Care Center in Hojai district on Tuesday. Seuj Kumar Senapati was attacked.

There have been widespread protests against the attack on doctors providing medical services. Local police officials have claimed that the incident was taken seriously and the culprit would not be released under any circumstances.

“We have arrested 24 people involved in the incident and found them guilty. Further investigation and action is being taken,” Sharma wrote on Twitter.

Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahant said that the attack on the doctors who were fighting against the epidemic was unforgivable. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture and that his confession had been obtained through torture. -PTI
