WHR Providing daily nutritious food to health workers


KATHMANDU: JUNE 2 – Women for Human Rights, a single women’s group, WHR has been providing daily nutritious food services to health workers, security personnel and support staff involved in Corona treatment at various government hospitals.
It is said that a campaign has been launched to feed nutritious food like milk, banana, gram, potato, rice pudding, biscuit, bread and local eggs in the morning. The group has been providing self-cooked hot and nutritious food free of cost to about 400 people of the front line who have to work continuously in risky work.
Rajin Rayamajhi, program manager of the group, said that the organization has been providing this service since Baisakh 26 to Bir Hospital, Kanti Children’s Hospital, Maternity Home, Om Hospital, Bheri Zonal Hospital in Nepalgunj, health workers of the health post, ambulance drivers and support staff.
The group has been providing daily breakfast and nutritious food in four isolation centers in Chandragiri Municipality. The group provided fresh and balanced food with the slogan, “You are not alone, we are together, let’s save ourselves and save others.”
