Urge to be aware of those who cheat by sending lottery messages

KATHMANDU: JUNE 30 – The Nepal Bankers’ Association has urged all to be vigilant saying that the fraudsters have been active on social media by asking for the bank account number and details of the person who won the lottery. The association issued a statement on Wednesday.

The statement said, “Unauthorized persons have now received lottery tickets through various social networks and obtained confidential account details such as account number, mobile number, password (OTP) under the pretext of soliciting lottery tickets and requesting account / personal details for remittances.” We urge you not to share your personal/confidential details with any person, as we have been informed that such activities are taking place.
