Landslide blocks Bhimphedi-Kulekhani road

KATHMANDU: JUNE 30 – The Bhimphedi-Kulekhani road has been blocked due to landslides caused by continuous rains since this morning. The landslide in Deurali and Gadhi of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6 of Makawanpur has blocked the road since this morning.

According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani transport service has been suspended due to road blockage. A spokesperson of the District Police Office, Jayashwor Rimal, said that technicians have been deployed to open the road and operate the traffic as soon as the weather improves.

According to him, efforts are being made to remove the landslide in Pandrang of the Hetauda-Bhimphedi road section this morning and operate traffic towards Hetauda. Spokesperson Rimal said that transport services are being operated on Tribhuvan Highway and East-West Highway.
