BANKE: JUNE 29 – Considering the possibility of a third wave of coronavirus outbreak spreads, Banke Hospital is in pre-preparation.

Chairman of the Bheri Hospital Development Committee, Pramod Dhital, said that necessary preparations have already been started for the treatment of patients from Banke, Lumbini, Karnali and far-western states. According to him, the hospital is busy preparing for the necessary infrastructure, health supplies, and manpower management before the third wave of coronavirus outbreak spreads.

The Tulsipur Nepalgunj session of the High Court has also issued an interim order in the name of Bheri Hospital to systematically prepare for the possible risk of the third wave of COVID-19 infection and to reduce it.

According to Dr. Dinesh Shrestha, Deputy Director of Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur Teaching Hospital, which has treated about a thousand infected people in the second wave of Corona, has also started preparations for the third wave.

In the second wave of corona infection, the virus spread very aggressively and rapidly, causing more human casualties. Shrestha told. The number of patients in the 130-bed hospital has been declining and the coveted ward has been closed for the time being to prepare for the third wave. All the beds in the hospital have been vacated after four patients were sent to Bheri Hospital. As the third wave is more likely to affect the children, the hospital has started preparations accordingly.

In the second wave, the problem of oxygen has caused a lot of stress and for its management, the pipeline has to be repaired and expanded. Dr. Shrestha, deputy director of the hospital, said that the learning of the second wave of the corona has to manage the physical infrastructure including the ventilator from the bed to the hospital. “We are working on the pre-preparation of the health materials and infrastructure required for the treatment of patients with the third wave of corona virus infection,” he said.
