Rajman was sent to jail for killing four rhinos
NAWALPUR: JUNE 28 – Rajman Magar alias Rajman Magar, who was arrested on charge of killing four rhinos in Chitwan National Park, has been remanded in custody. In the current fiscal year 2077/78, the fugitive defendants in the case of four rhinos died due to poaching in the park have been jailed.
Magar, 30, of Gaindakot Municipality-3 of Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat-Susta) was jailed for trial on Sunday, said Lokendra Adhikari, information officer, and assistant protection officer of the park. According to the official, Magar was arrested with the help of local conservationists and produced before the Nawalpur District Court.
According to the court order, Magar was sent to jail for trial. Two cases were filed in the Nawalpur District Court and one in the Chitwan District Court on the charge of killing rhinos and selling horns in the name of Thapa. According to Chitwan National Park, 27 people, including Thapa, have been arrested in the rhino case this year.
