KATHMANDU: JUNE 28 – Preparations have been made to ease the prohibitory order in Kathmandu Valley. Preparations have been made to extend the prohibitory order for one more week by making ease in the prohibitory order. The last added prohibitory order expires tonight at 12 am.
Discussions were held between the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on Sunday. Though talks were held to modify the modality of the prohibitory order to make it more lenient, no formal decision was taken.
Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli informed that another order will be issued at a meeting of the residents of the three districts today. “The prohibitory order is being extended in coordination with the Ministry of Health, Covid Crisis Management Center (CCMC),” Parajuli said. We will decide on this today. ‘
According to Parajuli, preparations are underway to amend the modalities of the Coordination prohibitory order with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Population, and CCMC. “A joint meeting is being held for that,” Parajuli said. “The strategy now is to ease the prohibitory order.”
However, he said that discussions are still going on about how to and which area to be loosened. “On Sunday, there was a discussion on modifying the modalities of the prohibitory order, on the issue of forcible operation of public transport, but it has not been decided yet,” said Parajuli, a resident of Kathmandu.
Private vehicles have been operating in an odd-even manner since last week and shops including clothes have been allowed to open according to the days
