Denmark in the quarterfinals with a great victory
KATHMANDU: JUNE 27 – Denmark has secured its place in the quarterfinals of the Euro Cup by performing brilliantly. Denmark reached the last eight after beating Wales 4-0 in the first pre-quarterfinal last night.
Young striker Kasper Dolberg scored two goals to give Denmark the victory. Joakim Mæhle and Martin Braithwaite scored one goal each. Dolberg scored in the 27th minute and 48th minute to give Denmark a 2-0 lead. The third goal for Denmark was scored by Joakim Mæhle in the 88th minute. Martin Braithwaite scored the fourth goal in the 94th minute.
Wales’ Harry Wilson was shown a red card in the 90th minute. Wales are out of the Euro Cup after the defeat.
Denmark lost the first two matches of the Euro Cup, beating Russia 4-1 in the final of the group stage to advance to the knockout stage. Denmark will now play the winner between the Netherlands and the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.
