Poudel discussing with a central member close to him

KATHMANDU: JUNE 25 – Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel is holding discussions with central members close to him on Friday. Leader Poudel has called the central members close to him to hold a discussion on the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress to be held in August. According to leader Jeevan Pariya, Poudel has invited all the central members close to him for the discussion.

With the 14th General Convention approaching, the race has started in the Nepali Congress. Poudel is also introducing himself as a presidential candidate. Similarly, the current president Sher Bahadur Deuba, Bimalendra Nidhi, Shashank Koirala, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Prakash Man Singh and others are also aspiring for the post.

Leader Poudel has said that he will announce his candidature after holding discussions with the leaders close to him. Leader Poudel had called a meeting for Thursday (yesterday). However, the press conference of the opposition coalition was postponed after the clash.

The Nepali Congress (NC) has approved the schedule for the General Convention to be held in Kathmandu from September 1 to 4. Currently, active membership is being released.
