Health supplies to Ramechhap by Nepalis from Korea
RAMECHHAP: JUNE 23 – The Ramechhap Liaison Committee South Korea has provided health items worth Rs. 669,400 to all the municipalities and villages of Ramechhap district.
Last Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all the municipalities and villages in the district were provided with one units of oxygen concentrator or mini ventilator, one units of glucometer, 100 units of masks, 100 units of gloves and sanitizers in each municipality and village. Campaign coordinator Bhim Khadka said.
Before purchasing the health items, the necessary materials were procured in coordination with the hospitals and health centers of each municipality, said Khadka. The Tamakoshi Hospital run by the Tamakoshi Service Committee of the district has also been provided with the same amount of medical supplies to the municipality saying that it has played an important role in controlling Covid .
Recently, after the second variant of Corona was seen in the district, the number of people getting sick and losing their lives due to Corona had started increasing. In view of the catastrophic situation, a fundraising campaign was launched with the district residents and Nepalis.
Rs. 6 lakh 62 thousand 284 was raised from the campaign. Similarly, Rs. 35,534 was collected in Nepal to be added to the same campaign. The materials were procured from the collected money. For this purpose, a campaign was launched for a month on behalf of Ramechhap Liaison Committee among Nepalis living in South Korea.
