The wedding party did not stop, infected all over the village
BAGLUNG: JUNE 22 – Despite the district-wide prohibitory order, religious and cultural activities such as marriage, fasting and Chaurasi (Above 80+ age) have not been stopped. Despite the administration’s request to participate in religious and cultural activities by setting certain criteria, such activities are still going on in places where the presence of security personnel and the administration is low.
Corona infection has been confirmed in 35 people who attended a wedding party in Baglung district headquarters a few days ago. So many people have been infected in the same village. According to Ram Prasad Khanal, Chief of Health Branch of Baglung Municipality, Corona infection was confirmed in 35 of the 50 people who participated in the marriage.
The test was conducted after finding fever, cold, cough and body aches all over the village. Earlier, Corona infection was confirmed in most of the wedding guests in Badigad Rural Municipality-4 of the district. Four members of the same family who participated in the same marriage died due to infection.
“The decision of the District Covid Crisis Management Committee is not to allow more than seven people to gather. Everyone should abide by it,” said Shiva Kumar Karki, chief district officer and coordinator of the district Covid crisis management committee.
To date, 340 people have been actively infected in Baglung. According to Khanal, during the second wave, ward no. 14 Narayansthan has been actively infected. Similarly, Ward no. 11 Raidanda, Ward no. 5 Malika and Ward no. 8 Sigana , the number of active infections is zero here.
