Prohibitory Order in Kathmandu Valley eased a bit from today

KATHMANDU: JUNE 22 – Prohibitory order has been further relaxed in Kathmandu Valley. A meeting of the Chief District Officers of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley held on Sunday has decided to relax the prohibitory order from today and extend prohibitory order it till June 28.

Now, private vehicles and taxis will be able to operate on the basis of Odd Even system. According to Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, vehicles with on Odd day odd number and on even day even number plate will be allowed to operate.

Similarly, shops selling gold, silver, utensils, electrical and household items will be opened on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, while shops selling automobiles and their parts will also be opened at the same time. Shopping malls, sports goods stores, clothing and shoe stores will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 am to 4 pm. Food, fruit and vegetable shops can be opened till 11 am every day, said Parajuli.

Similarly, provision has been made for all government offices related to development and public service delivery to maintain the health standards by maintaining the rotation system and using only minimum manpower. Similarly, online delivery, take away and vehicle maintenance workshop will be conducted till 7 pm.
