Denmark’s brilliant comeback, in the knockout stage with Belgium

KATHMANDU: JUNE 22 – Belgium and Denmark have entered the knockout stage of the Euro Cup from Group B. Denmark defeated Russia 4-1 in the final match of the group stage last night and entered the knockout stage as the second in the group.

Denmark, who had lost two games earlier, have reached the knockout stage with a comeback win in the Euro Cup. Denmark will now face Wales in the knockout stage. Mikkel Damsgaard,Yussuf Poulsen, Andreas Christensen and Joakim Mæhle all scored in Denmark’s victory. Russia’s Artem Dzyuba also returned a goal.

In the other match of Group B, Belgium defeated Finland 2-0 and entered the knockout stage by becoming the first in the group with 9 points after winning all the three matches of the group. Romelu Lukaku scored a goal in Belgium’s victory while Lukáš Hrádecký of Finland scored a suicide goal.

Finland are now third in the group with three points, while Finland are likely to reach the knockout stage. Russia has also dropped out of the group. So far, Russia and Turkey and North Macedonia have been eliminated.
