Villarreal Champion in a very exciting game

AGENCY: MAY 27 – Spanish club Villarreal have won the Europa League title.

Villa beat English club Manchester United 11-10 in a very exciting match on Wednesday night to become the champions. Villarreal have won the Europa League title for the first time.

The match was decided on penalties after the scheduled and extra time of the exciting match at the Polsat Arena in Poland ended in a 1-1 draw.

Gerard Moreno scored in the 29th minute to give Villa the lead. Edinson Cavani equalized for Manchester in the 55th minute. The penalty shootout was very exciting.

Except for United goalkeeper David de Gea, 22 people took the penalty kick for deciding the game. His shot was saved by Villa’s goalkeeper Rulli. With this, Villarreal became the champion of the Europa League for the first time.

United won the Europa League title in 2017.
