Here’s how to get NIC’s dollar card online

KATHMANDU: MAY 26 – NIC Asia Bank’s prepaid dollar card can be applied online. The bank has introduced the facility to apply for prepaid dollar card online with the facility to pay the purchase amount of goods and services purchased from various foreign online channels from home.

This facility can be availed by the customers from any place and at any time using their mobile, laptop or computer through the iServe platform on the bank’s website and mobile banking (NIC Asia Mob-banking) app. Based on the Visa network, the card allows customers to pay a maximum of $500 a year in online purchases in countries other than India and Bhutan.

The bank’s customers will have to go to ‘Dollar Card Request’ by clicking on Card Service within the bank’s ‘Self Help Banking Platform iServe’ and mention their name, account number, mobile number and email ID and PAN number. After filling in the details, the customer’s mobile number will be received in ‘OPT’ and his application can be verified by placing it in the OPT. After that, the customer can load the required amount of dollars in the card from a minimum of 25 dollars to a maximum of 500 dollars.

After loading the amount in this way, the application for the card will be completed by choosing the branch of the bank that suits you. Based on the application received, the bank will prepare a dollar card and inform the concerned customer via SMS and the card can be obtained from the branch office of its choice without any additional paperwork. The bank has stated that it has set a fee of Rs 350 to make this card facility more accessible to the customers.
