Husband arrested for wife’s murder

KATHMANDU: MAY 25 – Makwanpur police have arrested a man on charge of murdering his wife. Police have arrested Krishna Bahadur Moktan, 54, of Hetauda from Bara Nijgadh on Monday for beating his wife Sunita Thapa Magar, 42, to death.

According to the police, the body of the woman was found in the Bhutan Devi Community Forest at Hetauda-10 Neureni in the afternoon.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that Krishna Bahadur Moktan, 54, of Nijgadh Rural Municipality, Bara District Ramthali and now living in Hetauda-10, had beaten her during an argument and dumped her in the Bhutan Devi Community Forest in nearby Neureni. Moktan was made public by the police on Monday. Police said that further investigation is underway into the incident. -RSS
