Four arrested on murder charges

SAPTARI: MAY 24 – Police have arrested four youths from Rupani Rural Municipality-1, Raipur today on the charge of murdering 52-year-old Ram Dal Yadav.

Police have arrested Manoj Yadav, Binay Yadav, Mukesh Yadav and Mukesh Paswan on the charge of beating Ram Dal to death with a sharp weapon, according to the District Police Office.

According to the hospital, Yadav succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Golden Hospital, Biratnagar. Ram Dal was taken to Biratnagar on Thursday for treatment after being referred from Unique Hospital in the Village Municipality. Ram Dal’s brother Sarobar Yadav has lodged a complaint at the District Police Office alleging that the accused had beaten him with a sharp weapon on Wednesday night.

According to Sarobar, the accused had a fight with Ram Dal, who was fishing in a pond in the village, on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the locals, the arrested youths have been arrested several times on the charge of beating and drug smuggling. After the doctor declared him dead today, preparations are being made to take him to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar for autopsy, police said. -RSS
