Former MP Basnet dies due to covid

DHARAN: MONDAY, MAY 24, 2021 – Former Bhojpur MP Narendra Basnet has died due to Covid-19 infection. Basnet, 74, died at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan this morning.

Basnet was elected from Bhojpur Constituency No. 1 by the CPN-UML in the 2048 BS parliamentary election. He was also the former president of Shadananda Sitaram Guthi in Dingla, Bhojpur and the former headmaster of Arun Secondary School.

Basnet, who has been living in Khorsane of Morang recently, was active in various social organizations. Basnet has a wife and two sons.
