Nepal’s dairy products for air passengers

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2021 – Nepal Airlines will use domestically produced milk and dairy products including cheese and curd.

The decision was taken after discussions between Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Padma Kumari Aryal and Nepal Airlines Corporation.In the program of Nepal Dairy Development Corporation, Minister Aryal informed that there is no alternative to the use of indigenous products if the interest of Nepali farmers is to be taken into consideration.

There are 50 other airports in Nepal, including one international airport. Of them, 29 are in operation. The other five are under construction. At present, 30 airlines are carrying millions of passengers in Nepal. Baburam Pandey, chairman of the corporation, said that millions of farmers would benefit if the passengers of the aircraft would use indigenous milk and dairy products. -RSS
