About 500 million doses of the vaccine have been administered against Covid-19 in China

BEIJING: SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2021 – In China, where the Corona Virus epidemic was first reported, about 500 million doses of the vaccine have been administered against Covid-19 as of Saturday.

According to the National Health Commission of China, 497.27 million doses have been vaccinated across the country.

According to the commission, a vaccination campaign is being conducted at the rate of Rs 15 million daily after the symptoms of COVID-19 were seen in some parts of China.

China is currently leading the world in vaccination campaigns. China is using vaccines produced by companies, including its own country’s Sinopharm.

According to the BBC, around 1.6 billion doses have been vaccinated worldwide.

About 160 million people in the United States and about 150 million in India have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Similarly, 38.2 million have been vaccinated in Brazil, 37.5 million in the United Kingdom, 33.2 million in Germany, 22.1 million in France, 20 million in Italy and 18.7 million in Canada. -XINHUA
