Assistance of Sharda Group in prevention of COVID-19

BIRATNAGAR: SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2021 – The Sharda Group has been working under its corporate social responsibility to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.

It is responsible for providing free oxygen and medicine to all patients for the operation of a 30-bed isolation center and a 15-bed ICU Covid Hospital under Duhabi Municipality. In addition, free packet food for the sick and food for the people who stay with sick people have also been arranged.

The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) is providing assistance for the operation of the oxygen plant and providing 500,000 rupees in cash and free oxygen to the patients for the operation of the 51-bed isolation center at Gaushala under the Madwari Service Committee. Similarly, it has taken full responsibility to provide free medical oxygen to the newly constructed 25-bed isolation center in Lahan Municipality.

The group also said it was taking the initiative to provide free meals for Covid patients and the people staying with sick patients. Shivam Cement and Hongshi Shivam Cement Company, which are also invested by this group, are also doing various works under corporate social responsibility.

Hongshi Shivam Cement has provided 200 units of Oxygen Concentrator to the Ministry of Health and Population, while Shivam Cement is providing 35 units of ICED and Covid Center with Isolation at the hospital in Makwanpur and free oxygen and medicine for patients.
