Atletico Madrid wins La Liga title

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2021 – Atletico Madrid have won the Spanish La Liga title. Atletico beat Valladolid 2-1 in the final game of the league on Saturday to win the La Liga title this season.

Angel Correa and Luis Suarez scored one goal each in Atletico’s victory. Oscar Plano also scored a goal for Vallaolid.

Atletico have 86 points from 38 games, while second-placed Real Madrid have 84 points from 38 games. Real beat Villa Real 2-1 in their last game. Atletico have also won the La Liga title for the 11th time.
