KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2021 – The third largest party to be represented in the House of Representatives, the CPN-Maoist, is holding a standing committee meeting. According to committee member Lilamani Pokhrel, the meeting is being held at 1 pm in Parisdanda. “Alternative government is the main agenda,” Pokhrel told Makalu Khabar.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has set a deadline of 5 pm on Friday to demand a government in accordance with Article 76 (5) of the Constitution. Since then, political activism has increased. An all-party meeting is underway at the residence of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha. Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is leading the opposition UML, is also participating in the meeting.
