UCPN (Maoist) central provincial committee member dies due to Corona

DANG: FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2021 – Harihara Ghartimagar, a member of the Lumbini Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has died due to Corona. Gharti died at the Corona Special Hospital in Beljhundi, Dang this morning.

Gharti, who has been doing business in Ghartigaun Bazar with Madi Rural Municipality-5 Bhawang as her permanent address, was also involved in social services through agricultural cooperatives and other organizations. She was admitted to Rolpa Hospital on Jestha 4 after tested positive for Corona Virus. She was recommended to Corona Hospital in Beljhundi, Dang on Jestha 6 as treatment was not possible at Rolpa Hospital. Gharti, who was undergoing treatment at Beljhundi Corona Special Hospital, died at 5 this morning, said CPN (Maoist Center) District Committee Member Man Singh BK.

Gharti, who died in Rolpa with the second wave of Corona, is still the highest-ranking political leader. Meanwhile, 10 people have lost their lives in the second wave of Corona in Rolpa.

According to the District Administration Office, Rolpa, the number of active infected people in the district is 538. Of them, 83 are in various isolations in the district and 450 are in home isolation. Of those infected, 65 have recovered. ICU and ventilator have not been provided in the district so far. Although the district hospital as well as all the local levels have established isolation, the problem of oxygen cylinder has been seen. -RSS
