Initiatives are being taken for vaccination: Minister Rai


KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2021 – Minister for Social Development of State No. 1 Usha Kala Rai has said that an initiative is being taken to bring vaccine against COVID-19. She expressed her commitment to bring the vaccine to the state as soon as possible.
During a meeting with representatives of Pabson, Hissan and the Nepal National Teachers Association on Thursday, Minister Rai said that educational activities should be conducted through alternative methods to combat the Corona infection. Tikaram Puri, central chairman of the Private and Residential Schools Organization Nepal (PABSON), demanded that the state government provide vaccinations for teachers. Stating that education will be promoted through alternative methods, he said, “Schools will not always be closed.”
Hissan Central Vice President Bhesh Raj Pokhrel and Morang Chairman Rajesh Karki stressed on the need for the state government to focus on health and move ahead with the program. They urged to give priority to vaccination. Central Member of the Nepal National Teachers Association and Principal of Satyanarayan Higher Secondary School Dharmananda Kharel urged the state government to continue the good programs conducted in the last fiscal year. He pointed out the need for the state government to pay attention to the physical infrastructure as the attraction of students in community schools has increased recently. -RSS
