19,285 infected people in the far west recovered from Covid-19

DOTI: FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2021 – 19 thousand 285 Covid-19 infected people of Far Western State have returned home after recovering. In different districts of the state, the rate of infection is higher than that of recovered. Kailali has the highest number of Corona infections.

According to the state health directorate Dipayal Rajpur, out of 13,584 infected people in Kailali, 8,546 have been recovered. This number is about 63 percent of the total number of infected people in Kailali. In other hilly districts, 1,901 infected people have been cured in Achham, 926 in Baitadi, 1,057 in Bajhang and 624 in Bajura.

Similarly, there are 876 people in Dadeldhura, 404 in Darchula, 1,633 in Doti and 3,253 in Kanchanpur. According to the directorate, there are still 11,440 active infected people in the far west. Four thousand 913 people are actively infected in Kailali, 786 in Achham, 967 in Baitadi, 941 in Bajhang and 227 in Bajura. There are 514 active infections in Dadeldhura, 295 in Darchula, 559 in Doti and 2,220 in Kanchanpur.

In the far-western states, Corona infection was found in 31,200 cases out of a total of 199,000 tested so far. This number is 15.57 percent of the total number tested, said Dr. Ganaraj Awasthi, director of the directorate.

In the second phase, the infected could not be rushed to the hospital on time and could not be rescued due to lack of oxygen. According to Health Director Dr Awasthi, 397 people have lost their lives so far due to Corona infection in the far-western states. -RSS
