KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MAY 20, 2021 – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has called for a ceasefire in the Middle East to protect its children. Millions of children are vulnerable and vulnerable to ongoing violence in the Middle East.

The request was made by the head of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). “The situation in Gaza is getting worse by the day,” he said, urging a ceasefire and a peaceful solution to the problem.

Henrietta H. Fore, executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund, said the violence had killed families and left them homeless, and that the problem was affecting children.

At least 30,000 children have been displaced from the war-torn Gaza Strip. The fund says a large number of children in Palestinian-held areas are in trouble.

She also said that at least one million children in the Gaza Strip are being affected by the war, both directly and indirectly. The United Nations says all humanitarian aid, including children, has not reached the area. -XINHUA
