Even though Nepse fell by 13 points, the turnover increased by Rs 11 billion

KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 – The stock market declined by 13.9 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the weeks.

By the end of trading on Wednesday, the Nepse index had dropped 0.47 percent to 496.14 points. On this day, the Sensitive Index has decreased by 1.08 points and reached 2780.68 points.

Of the 13 groups that traded today, the indicators of Mutual Funds, Laghubitta, Hotels and Tourism, Trade, Bikas Banks and Banking have increased, while those of Life Insurance, Non-Life Insurance, Hydropower, Manufacturing and Processing, Investment Laghubitta Groups have declined.

A total of 251 shares of 214 companies worth Rs 11.95 billion were traded on Wednesday.

Samata Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha is the highest earning company in the market. Ru Ru Hydropower Project Company is in the second place.

Share prices of Samata Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and Ru Ru Hydropower Project Company have risen by about 10 percent.
