Demand to create an environment for foreigners to return home
KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 – Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has demanded the government to create an environment for foreign nationals visiting Nepal to return home.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Natta Acting Chairman Binay Basnet demanded the government to create an environment for foreign tourists to return home saying that due to the second phase of Corona transition with new variants and cancellation of domestic and international flights. “In case foreign tourists visiting Nepal are prevented from completing their visit to their destination, the details of such tourists should be collected and the required destinations should be identified on this basis and at least two to three regular flights should be conducted every week,” said a statement issued by NATTA
NATTA has also requested for permission for regular flights from May 25, and for foreigners and Nepali nationals traveling on regular flights to fully implement health standards in view of the Corona infection. Stating that charter flights are too expensive, NATTA has drawn the government’s attention not to allow charter flights to international destinations. -RSS
