Former Minister Basnet buys medicine and oxygen from the Parliamentary Development Fund

KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 – Rs. 1.8 million under the Parliamentary Development Fund (Infrastructure Program) will be spent on purchasing medicine and gas cylinders. Former Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet has sent a work order of Rs. 1.8 million to the Bheri Municipality on Tuesday, said Dal Bahadur Gharti, acting chief administrative officer of the municipality. From the amount, 40 cylinders, medicines and other health equipment were sent by former minister Basnet, said official Gharti.

The cylinders will be kept in a state of readiness in Surkhet and will be operated on oxygen supply as required, said Gharti. Gharti said that he was happy with the decision of former minister Basnet when a large number of locals fell ill due to corona and did not get oxygen. -RSS
