Congress District President’s Virtual Meeting: Such preparations and decisions were made
KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2021 – The Nepali Congress is going to make the party offices in the district isolated for the treatment of Covid infected. A ‘virtual meeting’ of 41 district chairpersons on Monday decided to make the party-owned building available for use as an isolation center.
The meeting also decided to draw the attention of the government saying that it has become irresponsible in controlling the epidemic. “We urge the Government of Nepal to immediately provide vaccination to all Nepali citizens against Covid, establish an isolation center with adequate oxygen supply at all municipal levels and provide immediate relief food to workers and vulnerable families,” the decision said after the meeting.
The government has also been asked to launch a comprehensive PCR test campaign in all wards of the country. The meeting of the presidents has said that the Congress party members are ready to help as volunteers for this. The meeting also urged the party leadership to be serious about displacing the current Oli government and open dialogue with other parties by opening up all options for forming an alternative government.
