Two ministers take oath in Karnali

SURKHET: MONDAY, MAY 17, 2021 – Two newly appointed ministers of Karnali have been sworn in. Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Gopal Sharma and Minister for Internal Affairs, Law, Youth and Sports Sita Kumar Nepali took oath.

Sharma and Nepali were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Karnali Chief Govinda Prasad Kaluni on Monday afternoon.

Appointed by Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi last Wednesday, he was made irresponsible for some time. The Chief Minister was re-appointed on Sunday. Last Wednesday, the Chief Minister had appointed three people, including Surkhet MP Bindaman Bista, as ministers.

But after the ruling Nepali Congress expressed dissatisfaction, Bista was backed from the ministry. The Congress, which gave a vote of confidence to the Chief Minister on Baisakh 3, has not joined the government even after a month.
