KATHMANDU: MONDAY, MAY 17, 2021 – A 60-bed isolation center with oxygen has been brought into operation at Chandragiri in Kathmandu. An isolation center with 60 beds of oxygen has come into operation at Chandragiri, the main entrance of Kathmandu Valley, after the second phase of Corona infection with new variants increased.

Mayor Ghanshyam Giri informed that an isolation center with doctors, nurses and health workers has been set up in the municipality after the number of Corona infections increased day by day.

“We have constructed a 30-bed isolation center with oxygen in the newly constructed community hospital building at Matatirtha in Ward No. 8 and a 30-bed oxygen center at Thankot Primary Hospital in Ward No. 3,” he said. Mayor Giri said that round-the-clock service will be provided in both the isolation centers.

Similarly, coordination will be made with the Armed Police Hospital in Balambu and other hospitals in the valley for the treatment of patients in Chandragiri, said Mayor Giri. The municipality has stated that a 15-bed isolation center will be set up in Ward No. 12 soon. There are currently 986 active infected. So far, 35 people have lost their lives due to Corona in Chandragiri. -RSS
