Nine killed in Pakistan’s Sindh
ISLAMABAD: SUNDAY, MAY 16, 2021 – At least nine people have been killed and five others seriously injured in a shootout between two groups in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province on Saturday night.
According to police, two tribal groups clashed for hours between Jagirani and Chachar in Kandhkot area of Sindh.
When police arrived at the scene, armed men from both groups were seen firing at each other, according to local police.
Police have recovered the bodies and admitted the injured to the hospital while two separate cases have been registered against the two groups. Automatic guns, hand grenades and missiles were also used, according to local media.
The police chief of Sindh province has said that the police have launched a massive operation saying that panic has spread among the locals. – XINHUA
