Five gamblers arrested with one lakh five thousand cash

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MAY 16, 2021 – Nepal Police have arrested five people for gambling. A team of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, arrested five people on Saturday for gambling inside a room at New Safal Valley Restaurant and Resort in Kitani Bhanjyang, Chandragiri.

Among the arrested are Bhairaja Shahi Thakuri, 50, Min Bahadur Rijal, 50, Parbat Khadka, 26, Krishna Bidari, 47, and Kumar Lama, 37. Police have recovered Rs. 10,500 in cash and cards from the five arrested. Police said that all the arrested persons will be taken action under the Gambling Act. – RSS
