Oxygen Concentrator at Hetauda Hospital
HETAUDA: SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2021 – An oxygen concentrator has been brought from Kathmandu to Hetauda Hospital in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati state, on Friday on the initiative of Chief Minister Dormani Poudel. Helicopters have been chartered to bring oxygen to the hospital, which is suffering from a lack of oxygen, as it is not possible to rely on oxygen cylinders alone.
An oxygen concentrator is an electrical device that integrates oxygen into the air. The concentrator filters the air and produces pure oxygen. It is not as pure as liquid oxygen but can be used for normal patients. It can provide 5 to 10 liters of oxygen per minute.
Some oxygen cylinders have arrived from neighboring districts on his initiative. More cylinders are said to be coming. Chief Minister Poudel had been managing the oxygen supply in the hospital all day long due to lack of oxygen in the hospital. – RSS
