In India, Sputnik V vaccines in the market at a price of Rs 1,000 per dose

HYDERABAD: FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2021 – The Russian Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19 has also been approved for emergency use by the Indian drug regulatory body and has started selling in the Indian market.

Deepak Sapra, head of custom firm services at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, inaugurated the program by administering the first vaccine at a Reddy’s pharmacy in Hyderabad, India.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories is also importing Russian Sputnik V vaccine in India. The Sputnik V vaccine was approved by the Indian Drug Administration on May 1. Dr Reddy’s has set the price of the vaccine at Rs 948 per dose in the Indian market.

The company said it would increase the number of vaccines in the coming days. The company says that the supply will also increase after the Sputnik V vaccine is produced in India. Discussions are underway with six different companies to produce the Sputnik V vaccine in India.

Dr. Reddy’s Co-Chairman and Managing Director GV Prasad said that the number of people infected with COVID-19 in India is increasing rapidly and they are trying to make arrangements for vaccination as soon as possible. – ANI
