KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2021 – The private hospital has stated that it will not be able to connect the oxygen plant within 15 days.

This was stated by Basanta Kumar Chaudhary, president of the Association of Private Health Institutions of Nepal (AFIN), an umbrella organization of private hospitals. He said that the oxygen plant could not be connected within 15 days if there was no other option for fast transportation due to the ban on international flights and closure of international flights.

The Ministry of Health and Population had directed all community and private hospitals with more than 100 beds to connect oxygen plants. The cost of a 100-bed hospital as per government norms is at least Rs 20 million. An additional Rs 5 million is needed to build the infrastructure needed to connect it. Not all hospitals are able to make that investment in the current situation, ”the statement said.
