9 million graduates pass in China this year, preparing for employment week

BEIJING: THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2021 – According to the Chinese Ministry of Education, 9 million 9,000 students from Chinese universities and colleges are about to graduate this year. More than 350,000 students are about to graduate this year as compared to last year.

The ministry is also working with the students to find employment or start a new business for the graduating students.

Currently, China’s employment situation is gradually improving, the ministry said.

The ministry has taken initiative to conduct a nationwide employment promotion week for the newly graduated students from May 17 to 23. During this period, each province will organize two large scale employment fairs.

Universities and colleges will also run campus-level employment programs and these fairs will be based on online and face-to-face meetings, the ministry said. – XINHUA
