Prohibitory order: All offices closed except urgently
KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2021 – Offices in the Kathmandu Valley will be closed from today except for emergencies. According to the Kathmandu district administration, such offices will remain closed for the duration of the prohibitory order as the risk of Corona is increasing.
The administration said in a statement that the decision was made to control the epidemic in Corona. “During the period of the injunction, all the district offices except the office of the Emergency Services will be closed from Baisakh 30 onwards,” the public notice said.
In the information, the office of essential services has been asked to manage the service flow with minimum manpower without any hindrance in the service flow. Meanwhile, a prohibitory order has been extended in the Kathmandu Valley from 12 noon tonight to 12 noon on Jestha 13
The decision was taken at a meeting on Wednesday with the chief district officers of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur). A prohibitory order was issued in the Kathmandu Valley on Baisakh 16. After that, on Baisakh 22, the time was extended for another week till 12 o’clock tonight. Two more weeks have been added after the infection rate did not decrease.
As of today, it will be open for sale and purchase of essential food items till 10 am. Essential food stores, businesses and department stores will be open at that time. All crowded activities are banned.
The general public will not be allowed to go out of the house except for the purchase of medicines, food, and other essential consumer goods or services, and for receiving essential services.
Public and private vehicles have been banned from operating in the Kathmandu Valley till 12 noon on Jestha 13. Vehicles carrying essential goods, ambulances carrying sick and crippled (maximum 2 persons), vehicles used by health workers and security personnel will be allowed to operate.
