These five districts where there is no prohibitory order
KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 2021 – As the Covid-19 infection is on the rise across the country, most districts have issued restraining orders to control it. The ban, which was issued on Baisakh 7, has reached 72 districts so far.
According to sub-section 2 of the Infectious Diseases Control Act 2020, the government had empowered the Chief District Officer to issue prohibitory order or other necessary orders in 200 districts in hilly and mountainous districts and 500 districts in Kathmandu Valley and Terai.
Accordingly, the detainees have been issuing prohibitory order considering the state of infection in the district. Now only five districts of Nepal have to issue prohibitory order. The rest of districts Manang, Mustang, Terhathum, Khotang and Rukum are yet to be banned.
