Isolation of 11 beds with oxygen in Galkot
KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 2021 – Isolation with oxygen of 11 beds has been constructed in Galkot Municipality Ward No. 5. The first phase of Corona Hospital at Galkot Municipal Hospital has been upgraded to oxygen.
Where there were only five beds. The municipality has made an isolation of 11 beds considering the possible risk. The municipality has upgraded the Covid Hospital in the city hospital saying that the second wave of Covid-19 is spreading rapidly in Galkot.
Chief of Galkot Municipality Bharat Sharma Gaire informed that an isolation with 11 beds of oxygen has been constructed in the hospital. The hospital has two doctors, one nurse and one office assistant.
An ambulance driver has also been provided for the service including ambulance at the hospital, said Ward Chairman of Galkot Municipality Ward No. 5 Narayan Dhwaj Malla. The government has also set up a temporary Corona hospital in each municipality.
The hospital will treat Corona-infected patients based on their condition and send them out if further treatment is needed, said Nixon Dogol, chief of the city hospital. The hospital currently has 16 oxygen tanks. The cylinders required in the hospital are said to have received assistance from donors.
Five large cylinders have been collected by Manjesh Bam Malla and four others with the help of Ward Chairman Him Bahadur Bhandari, Area Police Office, businessman Keer Singh Khatri and Yogesh Bhandari. The municipality has also urged all the city dwellers to remain vigilant as the speed of Corona is spreading rapidly in the city.
