No late visa fees and penalties for foreign nationals

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MAY 9, 2021 – The Immigration Department has decided not to charge visa fees and fines to foreign nationals.

It has been decided not to charge visa delay fee and penalty to the foreigners who have valid visa of Nepal till 15th Baisakh and international flights have been postponed.

Foreign nationals who want to go abroad from Nepal within 7 days of the resumption of international flights will also get visa fee waiver and penalty exemption.

Similarly, in the case of foreigners who have valid visa of Nepal and want to stay in Nepal even after the notification of international flight, the fee and penalty will be waived within 7 days from the date of expiration of the ban.

In the case of foreigners with valid tourist visas in Nepal, the prohibitory order period will not be counted within the period of tourist visa i.e. 150 days.
