Four lakh Covid-19 infected for fourth day in India

NEW DELHI: SUNDAY, MAY 9, 2021 – For the fourth day in a row, more than four lakh people have been infected with Corona virus in India. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, four lakh four thousand people have been found infected with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The total number of people infected with Corona virus in India so far has reached 22.296 million, according to the ministry. Of those infected with the Corona virus, 183.17 million have so far been infected and 386,000 have been recovered in the last 24 hours. Currently, 3.736 million people are actively infected in India.

According to the ministry, 4,092 people have died in India in the last 24 hours. Including this, 242,362 people have died due to Corona virus infection in India so far.

According to the Health Research Council of India, a total of 302.275 million samples have been tested till May 8.
Similarly, 169.43 million doses of vaccine against Covid-19 have been administered across India till May 7. In India, where vaccination has been started since January 16, people above the age of 18 are currently being vaccinated. – RSS / ANI
