UK puts Nepal in ‘red zone’ [with video]

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MAY 9, 2021 – The UK has placed Nepal in the red zone. The United Kingdom has placed the new species of Corona in the red zone saying that it is growing rapidly in Nepal. The UK is also preparing to ban travel from Nepal.

“Along with Nepal, Turkey and the Maldives have been placed in the red zone,” Grant Sepp, secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Transit, told a news conference in London on Friday.

The new rules introduced by the UK for foreign travel will start on May 17, the BBC reported.
