Launch of ‘Tempo Ambulance’ service in Birtamode

BIRTAMODE: SATURDAY, MAY 8, 2021 – Birtamode Municipality of Jhapa has started free tempo ambulance service. Corona Infected and other patients are transported by Tempo Ambulance to major private hospitals in the city.

Four tempos have been kept at the District Traffic Police Office, Birtamode for this purpose. Devraj Karki, senior administrative officer of the municipality, said that the Tempo Ambulance will provide immediate service to the patients if they have to be rushed to the nearest hospital from anywhere in the municipality. B & C, Birta City, Manmohan Memorial Community Hospital, Kankai, Kanchanjungha and Anjali Hospitals are operating in the municipality area.

Mechinagar delivering oxygen from house to house

Meanwhile, the Mechinagar Municipality has made arrangements to deliver medicine and oxygen cylinders to the infected people at home as per the need.

Khemraj Ojha, chief administrative officer of the municipality, said that a 30-bed isolation ward has been set up in ward no. 11 Dhaijan and a team of doctors is providing health services to the infected people at home.

“There will be no inconvenience in home isolation,” Ojha said. “We will reach home in isolation at any time carrying medicine and cylinders.” The municipality has arranged 100 hand-held oxygen packs (disposable) and 30 oxygen cylinders. He said that free ambulance service has been provided to the Corona infected people by providing PPE, globes, sanitizer and mask to the ambulance drivers in the city. – RSS
