Strict prohibitory order imposed in Valley from Thursday
KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021- Prohibitory order has been tightened in Kathmandu Valley from Thursday. The ban has been tightened as the number of people violating the ban on Corona infection has increased. Though the shop was open till morning and evening till Wednesday, an order has been issued to open the shop only till 9 am on Thursday.
Essential food shops, businesses, department stores (selling food items only) will be open only until 9 am. While operating the business of essential services such as food items, grocery stores, pharmacies, the health standards prescribed by the Government of Nepal must be followed.
Earlier, a meeting of the Chief District Officers of all the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley had decided to extend the ban for one more week. The order will remain in force till 12 noon on the 29th.
It is said that the new variant Covid-19 infection has spread in Nepal and it has a growing impact in the Kathmandu Valley. This time, trade and business on sidewalks, open spaces, carts or bicycles have also been banned. The order requires a recommendation with a commitment by the concerned local level to go outside the valley with a 10-day quarantine.
