Isolation of 20 beds with oxygen ready


KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021 – Gaindakot Municipality has prepared a 20-bed isolation with oxygen. Mayor Chhatra Raj Poudel informed that the covered hall adjacent to Gaindakot Municipal Hospital in Ward No. 11 has been prepared as isolation.
Stating that three rooms have been constructed for isolation, Poudel said that the isolation has been prepared to accommodate 16 patients in one room and two patients in the other two rooms. Two more staff nurses have been appointed at the hospital, which is staffed by HA and ANAMI, along with two MBBS doctors. Similarly, Mayor Poudel said that two anonymous candidates are in the process.
Poudel said that after the management of necessary clothes and medicines from the municipal health branch, oxygen, cold and hot water, water heating utensils, electricity, internet, swings, fans have been provided and necessary additional materials will be added. Patients in the city will be kept in isolation if the doctor needs oxygen. The municipality has intensified isolation operation after a person died in Ward No. 11 on Wednesday morning due to covid infection.
A meeting between the team of District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) and the hospital management committee was held on Wednesday and it was decided to make isolation with oxygen cylinder. Govinda Prasad Subedi, chairman of the hospital management committee and ward chairman of ward no. 11.
Even though isolation has been prepared with five oxygen cylinders now, additional oxygen will be provided from today, said Subedi. Subedi said that preparations are being made to bring 10 oxygen cylinders today on the recommendation of the District Administration Office, Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat-Susta). According to Subedi, the Corona infected with oxygen needs to be treated in isolation from today. – RSS
